Entrance

A Tense, Affecting Character Study
Entrance

You're best off going into 'Entrance' blindly, without watching any trailers or knowing too much ahead of time. This is a well-paced, expertly crafted indie movie that took me by surprise. When I watched it I wasn't even aware what kind of movie it was, and there's no better way to approach this one. This movie does not represent the status quo. Those looking for something unique, effective, and unexpected should not miss this opportunity. You can even stream it for cheap just to check it out. I highly recommend supporting these filmmakers instead of the latest mainstream big budget releases.

Intensity In Ten Cities
All I can say is woah! I didn't know what to think going in (a friend recommended the film), but this movie delivered. What starts as a slow character piece spirals off into creep-ville. The anxiety and anticipation bubbles over as the film draws to an end. Loved it!

Close to home
Most of this film deals with a real life horror: creepiness. As a woman I found myself identifying with certain plot themes (which I won't go into to not spoil anything) And that is what I find captivating about this film, the entanglement of horror with worry; that the horrific, larger than life events that the protagonist experiences are paired with those of daily life.
If you want to be disgusted, watch Takashi Miike. If you want to be disarmed, watch Entrance.
