Where's the REST of the 'season'??
I've seen all four of the episodes thus far... and it's obvious by now, that there aren't any more coming. WHY? Am I to believe after over 250 dirty jobs just in the USA alone, that they could only find four shows worth in all of AUSTRALIA? Come on! Something happened, and they aren't being straight with us. (The Discovery Channel, not Amazon.com... They have no say or control over what The Discovery Channel does anymore than I do) I want to know... What happened? WHY are there no further episodes? From 'Down Under' or anywhere else, for that matter. There is a literal whole WORLD of 'Dirty Jobs' to explore! It took them years to see many of the jobs in the good ole USA, and I'm to believe there are NONE to be had in a country like AUSTRALIA?? Give me a break. Discovery Channel watchers are among the most educated people ever to live... Don't treat us as stupid! We can take the truth.

Love this show!
I would recommend getting this in a regular format, instead of HD because, if the internet connection isn't very good, it will show in standard form anyway. But I love this show sooo much, I was so sad when it was cancelled.

The End?

Its a Fantasy World
It was OK. I still find it hard to believe people their age act this way and I guess that's why I watch it, because it seems so unrealistic. Sort of a fantasy world. Its so unbelievable that its funny and entertaining at times.. I cant believe their parents treat them like children. They must be supporting their parents financially to put up with them.

It's boring
With Snooki being pregnant it was just focused on her whining and the problems with Jenni and Roger and that got to be pretty boring as well.

Love this DVD!!
Loved Snooki and Jwoww!!! Season 1 was cool with them finding a place in Jersey City and living togeather before moving forward with their boyfriends.

The Legend of Spartacus

Spartacus Still Deadly
First, for those that may not have seen Spartacus on Starz and are looking to get into the series via DVD based on its popularity, Spartacus: Vengeance is season 2 of the show but technically the third season. After the excellent 2010 5-star season premier under the title Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Andy Whitfield who played the lead role of Spartacus tragically died of cancer. Whitfield embodied Spartacus; he was a believable, imposing, rough, tough character that made viewers feel like they were watching the real guy from circa 70 BC. His untimely illness left the studio scrambling to decide how to or if the series would continue. Ultimately the studio decided to produce a prequel that ideally would give Whitfield time to recover after treatment, but sadly Whitfield relapsed and passed shortly after production of the prequel.

Fans of Spartacus: Blood and Sand and the prequel Gods of the Arena: Draw near, that I may break words with you.

Know this in advance: there are parts of this second season (or third, depending on how you're counting) of the Spartacus saga that _you will not like_. But the gods do not favor such thoughts! WE are for Spartacus: Vengeance, preferably on Blu-ray, which has had noticeably better picture and sound quality than the Starz broadcasts. Bend ear, and I shall give good reasons to make purchase:

- The story is on a par with, possibly even better than, Blood and Sand. It's different - how could it be otherwise? - but more complex and on a much grander scale. The same goes for the setting. Spartacus has always featured impressive camera work and CGI, and this time around it is, at times, literally jaw-dropping and...

Did you see that!
I've not bought the blu-ray of season 2 yet but I will. I have the prequel and season 1. I'm a big fan and was devastated when I heard Andy Whitfield was ill and then died. He was perfect for this role. He was awesome. The new guy is doing ok. If he was the original Spartacus I'm thinking we'd all be saying he's awesome but Andy set such a high bar I don't think anybody could have matched or bettered him. Anyway. Season 2 in my opinion is a little different to season 1 for me. I liked seeing the gladiators being trained, fighting in the area and seeing the twisted plots unfold in the house of Batiatus. Now that season 2 is out in the open with so many different locatnions it's obviously not the same. However, season 2 has got better and better with each episode. Last Fridays.... I think episode 5... was the best episode yet! I was yelling OMG! and my girlfriend was screaming!!! really she was. When Ganacus comes back and enters the arena only to fight against....????? I...

Yabba Dabba Don't! [HD]

Very interesting!!!!!
I often wonder how some of the mega collectors part with part of their "precious". I am a collector and have memories with every piece so I can see how it is hard to let go of some things. This show shows that it is bad when a collection goes overboard and how you need to fix it.

I'm biased; that's me on there
I couldn't resist buying the episode - I'm the guy who evaluates the Hot Wheels, LOL! We had a lot of fun shooting the episode, and Elyse is a pleasure to work with.

Decent show, amazing host, abhorrent little creeps
The show is a decent idea, people who want a more interesting hoarder format will enjoy this show. The host of the show is attractive, smart and appears too know a lot about everything. She really is the saving grace of this show, because of how terrible all the guests are. They are all so in love with their stupid collections, and most of the people do not even take care, they are all basically hoarders with focus.

They all remind me of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, they are all impossible and it seems like the only thing that matters to them is their craptastic stuff. Joe a comic collector is really bad he has 30,000 every day comics that are practically worth less. He has a woman in his life despite his weight and obvious mental instability, if I were him i would have moved on with my life, I can tell based on the "where are they now article" that he has not changed, nor does he want to.

If you like "Life" you'll like "The Mentalist"--no spoilers review
This TV show, in its first season, is, like "Life," a police procedural with lots of flavor--in this case, a former phony psychic who, years ago, talking insultingly about a serial killer on his psychic TV show.

The killer was watching the show, apparently, took offense, and proceeded to murder the guy's entire family.

After much soul searching, our hero quit his pseudoprofession and now works with a police agency doing for crimes what Gregory House does for his hospital--solving the cases no one else can solve. He uses his ability to read people and situations that stood him in good stead during his stint as a phony psychic.

Of course, like the cop in "Life" his merry, mischievous exterior conceals an iron core of permanent, near-psychotic rage. The Mentalist works with the police agency he works for in order to find the serial killer to killed his family, and he has told his boss there, in merry seriousness, that if/when he finds the guy, he will...

Simon steals the show... and my heart
I am just a teenager, and generally not interested in the stuff my parents love to watch (currently they're obsessed with "24"), but one evening I decided to settle down with them and check out what they were watching, and it happened to be, "The Mentalist." It was love at first sight.

The Australian-born star, my heartthrob Simon Baker, stars as the coy and undeniably hot guy with brilliant mentalist abilities who "just pays attention," Patrick Jane. The Mentalist: The Complete First Season

Christie and Conan Doyle can be blamed for the flawed genius crime fighter with that unique quality with Sherlock Holmes, Ms Marple and Poirot. There have been later takes on this theme such as Nero Wolfe. More recently its been Monk, Columbo, Mrs Fletcher (Murder She Wrote), Profiler and Medium.

This isnt serious crime investigation and thankfully its not meant to be. Enough with the real life police/hospital dramas that are usually quite frankly an overglorification of a generally unattractive, nasty and messy business (believe me I work in the crime area).

Shows like those beforementioned and of course The Mentalist are pure entertainment and totally detached from reality and that's why I like them. What makes these shows so successful is a quirky character with a unique special quality, an actor able to translate the role well to the...

Technical problems annoying
The show is great, otherwise we wouldn't have paid so much. I think it's a problem with amazon. A few episodes will work just fine and then we get errors - loading- up date flash player. Once we restart our laptop all errors are gone. It's a hassle and we did say something to amazon. In response we got " sorry we are working on the problem". At least they know about the problem.

The First 27 Days

One of the best seasons of survivor ever
Russell Hantz is the king of survivor. He is the best strategic player the game has ever seen. Without anyone knowing he threw socks in the fire, and poured out water bottles. He even lied about being in Hurricane Katrina. It's crazy that you still root for him even after he does all these things. He is the king of the hidden immunity idol and finds three in the game without any clues. He convinces people to flip alliances and is responsible for 80% of the people voted out of the game. He tries to create an alliance with every one and figures out who is on his side and who isn't. If you threaten Russell you got to go. Russell may be the reason his team loses every challenge because he sabotages the camp. He doesn't need the numbers at a merge because of his master manipulation. A lot of people in the game only get showed 2-3 times talking the entire game because Russell is much more interesting and he's got a lot to say. Buy this season if you are a fan of survivor.

SURVIVOR
I would recommend the series Survivor to all who love adventure, drama, backstabbing, love and reality. I watch them over and over can not get enough, Wish they would come on more often..

One of the best seasons ever
we started and finished this season in two days. Hands down, one of the best seasons thanks to one scheming character. The winner of the show is disappointing, but it begs some interesting questions about the show's morality.

Daisy in the Sky

Love MMC, but...
...it is absolutely ridiculous that there is not a discounted, entire season price for this like there is for hundreds of other TV shows on Amazon. I don't know if it's Amazon or Disney making that decision, but there is no way I'm paying $2 per episode for 30-40 episodes per season. That's ridiculous! I was considering buying each full season to get some variety since On Demand is not getting many these days, but now I don't know if I will purchase any more than the three I already bought purely on principle.

Grandkids love it!
My granddaughter who is 2 ordered this and her and her brother who is 5 now love playing on my kindle and especially love this product. Thanks so much!

Stopped Working on Roku
I purchased 4 episodes of this show approximately 2 - 3 weeks ago. Things were working great until a week ago. As of 12/1/2012, the episodes I purchased no longer show up in the video library on either of my Roku devices (both a current and an older model). All other movies and shows I purchased on Amazon continue to work fine. The problem is just isolated to this show (and maybe just the first season).

I attempted to contact Amazon's customer support department 3 times, but that was a waste of time. On the first attempt, the representative refunded me for a totally unrelated purchase I made over a year ago. On my second attempt, they told me to un-register and re-register my devices (that didn't work). On the third attempt, they told me that it was elevated to their technical team. That was approximately 1 week ago, and I haven't heard anything since.

This experience has really turned me off to Amazon's Instant Video service. The fact that purchased...

Jake and the neverland pirates is a good kids show, my son is 5 years old and he has watched this episode several times without getting bored. There is some fun and some education in every Jake and the Neverland Pirates Episode.

My son thought this was really great. He wanted to watch something that had captain hook in it and this fit the bill. He watched it a few times now.

One of the best Disney Cartoon
I have a little boy who just turned 2 years old and he is in love with Jake. I think it colors and activities make the little ones in love. Also the songs are so great!

WWE: SummerSlam 2012

The biggest storm of the summer.....
In 1988 WWE began a PPV known as Summerslam, throughout the years its become known as "The Biggest Party of the Summer". Now at the 25th annual event we see if CM Punk can once again shine in the spotlight as he faces 2 challengers for his WWE Title, will Sheamus be able to overcome his injury and conquer Alberto Del Rio? Plus will The Game Triple H be able to gain revenge for all the pain and suffering Brock Lesnar has caused his family and friends and Trips himself?

-Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler: These two had some confrontations leading up to this contest, which it was expected since it could set the table for Ziggler to possibly cash in his briefcase later in the show. The crowd was hot with the "Y2J" chants, Chris did well playing to the fans but he missed his patented springboard dropkick to the outside. Dolph starts to work over the injured ribs, even locking on a sleeper hold, but Jericho comes back hitting a nice hurricarana off the top but only for two. Great...

A Perfect Storm Comes To SummerSlam
Just a couple of notes here in that with Booker T recently becoming the General Manager of SmackDown, he was removed from the commentary team so it's only the RAW announcers of Michael Cole & Jerry Lawler calling the action while later in the show Kevin Rudolf performed the SummerSlam theme.

Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler - Jericho came into this match with his ribs taped from an attack by Dolph on SmackDown days earlier but remained in control in the beginning with impactful elbows & chops that kept knocking Dolph down. Ziggler would gain control working over Jericho's ribs with moves like a grounded abdominal stretch to the point where Jericho would hurt himself on offense including a top rope frankensteiner while Dolph was able to keep breaking any momentum being built by Jericho by going to the ribs. I look forward to watching this each week. When I travel I take my copies with me and watch them in the evenings in the motel room. It is hard to find good programs on TV, but this is at the top.

A Great Series: The Mentalist
My wife, myself and my son and daughter-in-law as well as my daughter and son-in-law have all loved watching the Mentalist in the first three seasons and are waiting eagerly for the release of the fourth season. Better than any of CSI's (who are getting bloody repetitive (as the English would say), the Mentalist is more like a modern day Sherlock Holmes and fun to pit your wits against his.

As said before, with umpty-ump crime shows pasted all over the television screens and new ones promised of the next season it is gratifying to see that one of those crime shows maintains its integrity and appreciates its audience the way THE MENTALIST does. The writing is consistently good, the crimes investigated require thought in figuring out the perpetrator, but what really makes the series work is the presence of the main character - the almost nonchalant mindreader Patrick Jane. Part of this is due to the inventiveness of the creator of the series, part of it is due to the script du jour, but the whole thing couldn't work as well without the subtle acting skills of Simon Baker. Baker knows who to keep the twinkle in his eye, even in the most potentially dangerous moments. He never pushes his skills to make the character look like a seer, but instead inserts his penetrating opinions in a way that makes the whole teams of investigators work well together. He is ably supported by...

A Third Season, Keenly Observed...
Simon Baker returns for a superb third season as Patrick Jane, former psychic and current consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Jane applies his keen powers of observation and psychological manipulation as part of the investigative team led by senior agent Theresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), whose patience with Jane's often mischevious antics barely masks an growing personal interest.

"The Mentalist" continues to present interesting cases for the team to solve, while highlighting their interpersonal dynamics and CBI politics. My Family Enjoys Watching The Mentalist Over & Over Again!!
We had the cable for the TV disconnected about five years ago. A friend told us about The Mentalist DVD's and we are very pleased with the shows. Our family enjoys watching them more than once, and when purchasing the whole season, (or a couple/few seasons!) it's nice to watch over and over. We definitely "got our money's worth"...
Quality is very good- stories are fun, detective mystery, etc. Love the cast of this show...and we can't wait for the next season!

Make It Right [HD]

Words do not describe...
This is BY FAR the best show I've seen this year. I took a 2 month break from the show to focus on work and school, and still didn't lose interest. Every episode delivered on all levels, and the finale was the climax. This show, though it didn't get so much publicity, is...I can't find words for how I think it is. Bravo!!!!!!

Fabulous show
I really enjoyed the LA Complex, funny, interesting story lines, and dramatic. You really fall in love with the characters.

The Best New Show Since Melrose Place
If you liked Melrose Place, this show is a must see. There was constant action and drama amongst young, mostly attractive young people trying to find their way in the show business world in California.
The acting was excellent and the story lines were riveting. I highly recommend anyone who is into this type of genre to give it a try.
I hope they are planning another season!

Under the Hood [HD]

Overall a good show for off roading fans
As a gear head myself, I found this show mostly entertaining. The scenery is great, the Jeep is a beast and the premise is pretty cool. The great part is the Jeep of course and Gary Humphrey, who is basically a Bear Grylls type who fits right into this type of show and situations. The bad part, for me, is the sound dubbing and Bill Wu, the show's gear head. The sound dubbing I'm talking about is revving diesel engine sounds they put over the Jeep, making it sound like the Jeep is constantly revving and its a more than a bit annoying. As for Bill, he's ok at driving, but he's always whining about being hungry, hates the outdoors, and is rarely a team player with Gary. If you can overlook those two things, which in the end I could, its a fun show.

WTF ONLY 4 EPISODES???
I loved this show. Being both a 4x4 enthusiast and survivalist enthusiast. Was cool to see the 2 worlds mix. But why so little shows? Not enough interest?

Something different to watch.
This is a fun show to watch and wonder how there going to get out of the woods. Hope they make more of these.

Daniel's Babysitter / Daniel Goes to School

Psychologist Approved
(I've purchased thousands of items on amazon and this is the first thing I've ever taken the time to rate)

I'm a school psychologist who has worked for the last 7 years teaching small social groups and helping teach others in the profession as well. This show is right on par for younger children and teaches pro-social behaviors in such a way that they don't even know they are learning. I've also been impressed as a parent of a 2.5 year old who is USING the pro-social behaviors in her world. She's generalized the social curriculum from Daniel Tiger. For example, my picky eater never used to try new foods... one day, I asked her to try and new food and she chimed in, "you gotta try new foods cause they might taste good"! Then, she ate her first avocado and has started trying a variety of new foods.

In addition to the social skills, she's learned a variety of items that are on standardized IQ tests which has also been impressive to me. Those skills are also...

great show, good pace
My 19 month old daughter and I really enjoy this show. The characters are great and I like how they interact with the viewer. It's paced just right for toddlers and younger kids as opposed to other cartoons with fast action and music. My daughter also loves the intro song and it's a great ode to Mister Rogers Neighborhood which makes it perfect. All the episodes seem to deal with feelings and each episode will have a short little song that deals with the theme of that episode. (Like a short rhyme about dealing with disappointments etc.)

Great for Kids and Parents!
My kids ( 2 & 4) really enjoy this show. They will actually sit long enough to watch an episode which allows me time to get dinner ready or do a task around the house. The show teaches different lessons in each episode such as sharing, waiting, being big enough to help and when not to, being mad, potty and many others. Fact is I don't care how many times I put this show on its not nearly as annoying as Max and Ruby, Barney or some of the other ones out there. The songs are short and to the point and my kids are now applying them! My ALL time favorite since my 4 year old starts school next year is the "Get Ready Song" - she actually switched out the words from " off to school" to " off to Mrs. Lisa's" (her daycare). If you didn't know that this was a "cartoon" version of Mr. Rogers it might throw you. Highly recommend checking this out! Fun, educational, ok for Parents and allows the kids the opportunity to have quiet sit down time and us a few minutes...

Wives galore
There are reality shows for minor celebrities, musicians, tattoo artists, rich brats, people with huge families, lesbians, superheroes, and presidential wannabes.

And with "Sister Wives Season 1," you can add polygamists (or rather, polygynists) to the long list of slightly-off-the-norm people who have put themselves on reality TV. And while this show initially seems like an interesting glimpse into a family with, um, unconventional marriage habits, it starts getting disturbing and creepy as we see more of the family patriarch.

That would be Kody Brown, who belongs to a sect that splintered off the Mormon Church about a century ago (they share many of the tenets, but still practice polgamy). He lives in an enormous house with his three wives -- bubbly Christine, down-to-earth Meri, and earth-mama Janelle -- and their vast brood of children.

Over the course of the show, a few subplots crop up. Kody courts and becomes engaged to the weepy Robyn...

In a bold programming stroke, TLC flouted convention and dropped "Sister Wives" onto its 2010 TV schedule. A reality TV show in which the subject matter is considered both taboo and illegal is a daring bit of maneuvering that might have garnered TLC more press than actual viewers though. In truth, I don't watch many of these types of reality show--but I suspect people tune in because they identify with the participants or because the antics are so outrageous, they can't wait to see what happens next. As an avid fan of "Big Love" (who despite a rocky last season is TV's most consistently underrated drama) and Brady Udall's "The Lonely Polygamist" (one of my top five books of 2010), I threw caution to the wind with "Sister Wives." It might be interesting to note, at this juncture, that this TV show did open up a Utah legal investigation into the Kody Brown clan and they have subsequently relocated to an unspecified domicile in Nevada. Such is the price of fame!

As an avid fan of "Big Love" (who despite a rocky last season is TV's most consistently underrated drama) and Brady Udall's "The Lonely Polygamist" (one of my top five books of 2010), I threw caution to the wind with "Sister Wives." It might be interesting to note, at this juncture, that this TV show did open up a Utah legal investigation into the Kody Brown clan and they have subsequently relocated to an unspecified domicile in Nevada.
